About...

... the Artist

Asleep at the tableHi, I'm Ryan

TLDR: I'm a self taught artist and designer that just does stuff.

Most of my artwork begins without a plan. Rather than trying to illustrate a specific concept, I follow shapes, colors, patterns, and visual possibilities wherever they lead.

Sometimes that means carefully constructing geometric compositions by hand. Other times it means layering digital effects, exploring unexpected combinations, and discovering something worth keeping.

The Beginning:

I've been doing art in one form or another all my life. The early days of doodling and drawing got me creating characters and comics.

But somewhere along the line I moved into the abstract. Rather sponaneuously actually, just like the process itself.

I had paper, a sharpie, a straight-edge, and time to kill and Cornertone (names well after the fact) was born. And I thought, "well that's neat" and it's been off the races ever since.
